Recording Phone Calls

Updated:

All calls to the Blue Jacket main line (260-744-1900) may be recorded for quality, training, and safety purposes. These recordings can only be accessed by contacting HR@BlueJacketInc.org. A notice is given at the start of each call to 260-744-1900 that the call may be recorded.

Users should not record phone calls using any other method as they may not meet notification requirements.

On-demand recording

You may desire to record a call for your own recap purposes, to do so, make the phone call.

  1. When ready, tap Record on your keypad.
  2. IT plays the following announcement to all participants that the recording has begun. "This call is now being recorded by the Blue Jacket Team"
  3. Tap Stop recording to stop the recording.
  4.  IT plays an announcement to all participants that recording has stopped. "Call recording ended by the Blue Jacket Team"
    • Hanging up will also stop recording.

Recorded calls are saved directly within the Google Voice app or website, specifically in the Calls or History tab associated with the contact or phone number.

Automatic recording

If users call a number or select a menu option that is automatically set to record all calls, IT plays an announcement to all participants that recording has begun at the start of the call. The recording is saved to a secure drive, not your personal account.
