Workspace Password Checks

Updated:
Blue Jacket runs risk assessments on users regularly. These assessments search your work accounts, emails, drives, and shared drives for:
  • Compromised Passwords
  • Credentials Stored In Email
  • Credentials Stored In Drive
If you are detected to be at risk, an IT ticket will be opened, and you will be required to resolve the issue and/or take additional security training.

Here is what you can do to get ahead of the curve:
  • Update passwords that were provided to you via email.
  • Whenever possible, use Google to log in when registering for new accounts.
  • Move any passwords stored in a document or email to Google Passwords.
  • Visit the "Checkup" tab of Google Passwords and update any passwords that appear as compromised.
  • Install Google Passwords as an app on your device to save time and provide easy access: Learn How

Please note a few important details:
  • The scans will search the web for leaked and compromised passwords. Do not move a document or email with stored passwords to a personal phone or account; doing so may compromise all of your passwords.
  • The scans will use AI to detect all documents used to un-securely store passwords. This means moving a document from a shared drive to a personal drive, or changing the name of the document to something unrelated, will not keep it from being detected by the risk scans.
