Install Website As App On Chromebook & Pin To Shelf

Users may want to run certain web-pages such as Gmail, Calendar, or IT ticketing as an app. This saves room in the browser and avoids accidental closure of the app. To achieve this:

1. Open the website you want to install as an app.
2. Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the web page, just below the X.
3. Click “Case, Save, and Share”.
4. Click “Install Page as App”.
5. The page will open in a new window and you will see a new icon show up on the shelf (the bar with apps and time pinned at the bottom of your screen).
6. Right click on the icon in your shelf.
7. Select “Pin”.
8. Your web-page is now saved as an app on your Chromebook.
