This tool is no longer in use.
Before Friday 7/25/2025:
- Ensure any documents saved only on your computer only are moved to your OneDrive.
- Delete any shortcuts to documents saved elsewhere on OneDrive to avoid duplication.
- Your downloads folder CAN NOT be backed up. All files in that folder must be moved elsewhere.
- Login to your new Google Account. DO NOT START USING GOOGLE PRODUCTS
- Open Google Chrome, if it is not installed on your computer, do so here.
- Your email is the same as it is now.
- Your password is: Bji8888! Replace 8888 with your birth year.
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- It should prompt you to set up 2-step verification. This is a requirement. Skipping this step will result in account lockout on Monday. If you are not prompted to enroll in 2-step verification, select the larger profile photo in the upper right beside the box of 6 dots. Any account errors should appear in this menu. Resolve them now.
- Move any saved passwords:
- From Microsoft Edge:
- Open Microsoft Edge and go to edge://settings/passwords > More actions (or …) > Export passwords. Save to your desktop.
- Open Google Chrome and go to passwords.google.com. Make sure you are signed into your work Google account ONLY.
- Click the settings icon and select “Import”.
- Select “Select file” and navigate to the CSV file you just exported from Microsoft Edge to your desktop.
- Select the CSV file and click “Open”, then “Import”. Chrome will now import the passwords from the CSV file into your Google account’s password manager.
- Go back to passwords.google.com and make sure your passwords have moved successfully.
- Those still using Keeper to save passwords should email HR@bluejacketinc.org to receive assistance as support for that tool is ending on 7/28/2025.
- Move any bookmarks from Microsoft Edge: HERE
- Do not save any new bookmarks or passwords in Microsoft Edge once this is completed or they will be deleted on Monday 7/28.
- Drives and Inboxes for terminated staff will no longer be available to their supervisors as they are being consolidated to archive@bluejacketinc.org. If you still require access to a terminated employees inbox, please contact HR@bluejacketinc.org.
- Ensure you have access to the web-based version of any software you use on your computer such as security camera programs and Software for special printers and machines. If no web-access is available, you will have to contact HR about re-installing this tool after Monday 7/28/2025. Software for the main office printer will be available on all devices by default. Adobe and Canva will sync with all Google Drive accounts, no separate program is needed.
Before 1PM on Friday 7/25/2025 - Ensure all steps from the above list are completed.
- Ensure your computer and charger are labeled with legible Blue Jacket IT stickers.
- Place your completed checklist between your screen and keyboard and close your computer.
- Turn both your computer and its charger into the downstairs computer lab at the main office before 1PM.
- For desktop devices: unhook your computer from the monitor and accessories and turn in the computer and power cord only.
- Log-out of work Outlook, Teams, & OneDrive accounts on personal computers and phones and uninstall the apps. Make no further attempts to access your email, documents, or Microsoft Account.
After 1PM on Friday 7/25/2025 - All new sent or scheduled emails from both Outlook and Gmail will not be delivered
- Emails sent to you will be held in a secure cloud until your new Gmail is ready, your Outlook email will no longer receive new emails or updates.
- Any changes made in OneDrive, Calendar, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, or Microsoft Suite Documents will not be saved and may create errors when transferring your documents. DO NOT ACCESS YOUR WORK ACCOUNTS.
- Voicemail to email services will be down, new voicemails will only be saved to your physical desk phone.
- Power Automate workflows and email forwarding/arranging set-ups will be cleared. They are not being transferred to Google.
- You will not have access to any account with a username that contains your Blue Jacket email if it requires 2-factor authentication.
- Access to security camera servers may be interrupted on mobile devices and will not be available on computers.
- Server and DNS changes by TRICORE may temporarily create phone and internet outages company-wide.
- Registers should continue to work, even when offline, as long as the device is not restarted.
- Your computer will be “wiped” and any information not saved on OneDrive is now unrecoverable.
On Monday 7/28/2025 - Change over complete and new emails are delivered to Gmail accounts at 8:00AM.
- Computer pick-up begins at 8:30AM in the computer lab at the main office.
- Log-in to your computer and begin using Gmail to send outgoing emails, all old emails should be transferred and visible. You will need to set-up new forwarding and foldering rules.
- Shared Mailbox invitations will appear in your inbox. You will need to accept the invitation to view shared email accounts (contacts, events, etc.).
- Update your Gmail signature using these instructions and template: HERE
- Microsoft Teams chats are moved to Google Chat & Google Meet.
- Files previously on your OneDrive are now located in your Google Drive
- Shared OneDrives are now available through Google Drive as SharedDrives.
- Microsoft Calendar Data is now available in G-Calendar
- Staff Dashboard 2.0 is live.
- Only those on Blue Jacket’s main secure Wi-Fi network will have access to the main printer, to connect to this printer view the helpdesk article.
- TRICORE support for devices ends but continues for internet, cybersecurity, and network services. Internal IT Ticketing starts on Dashboard.
Please direct all requests for support to the IT ticketing system, as a high volume of requests is anticipated.
