What are Gems?

Gems are tailored versions of Gemini that help users save time by focusing on repeat goals and guidelines. They can be used in both the Gemini web app and mobile app prompts, making them a versatile tool for productivity.

How Gems and Google Drive Work Together

Shared Gems are stored in Google Drive, meaning that Google Drive's sharing settings also apply to Gems. Users can share Gems outside the organization when the correct drive settings apply. To ensure compliance with your organization's policies, you may need to move the Gem out of a shared drive and into your own before sharing externally.
